Lingshan Island in the eastern Chinese city of Qingdao has reduced its carbon emissions and created more carbon sinks in recent years. Its carbon dioxide emissions hit negative 1,333 tonnes in 2020, making it China's first carbon-negative sea island, according to China Quality Certification Center.

位于山東省青島市西海岸新區(qū)的靈山島是我國(guó)北方第一高島。從上世紀(jì)八十年代開(kāi)始的退耕還林，到近年來(lái)靈山島省級(jí)自然保護(hù)區(qū)積極開(kāi)展清潔能源改造，推動(dòng)居民綠色生產(chǎn)生活，逐漸減少碳源，增加碳匯。2021年，靈山島被認(rèn)證為“負(fù)碳海島”，成為人們度假、康養(yǎng)的好去處。

2020年9月，習(xí)近平主席在第七十五屆聯(lián)合國(guó)大會(huì)一般性辯論上指出，中國(guó)將提高國(guó)家自主貢獻(xiàn)力度，采取更加有力的政策和措施，二氧化碳排放力爭(zhēng)于2030年前達(dá)到峰值，努力爭(zhēng)取2060年前實(shí)現(xiàn)碳中和。

黨的二十大報(bào)告進(jìn)一步提出，要推進(jìn)美麗中國(guó)建設(shè)，堅(jiān)持山水林田湖草沙一體化保護(hù)和系統(tǒng)治理，統(tǒng)籌產(chǎn)業(yè)結(jié)構(gòu)調(diào)整、污染治理、生態(tài)保護(hù)、應(yīng)對(duì)氣候變化，協(xié)同推進(jìn)降碳、減污、擴(kuò)綠、增長(zhǎng)，推進(jìn)生態(tài)優(yōu)先、節(jié)約集約、綠色低碳發(fā)展。
